Fantastic book. Always reading it; studying it. The only better book is it’s first- Number 1. Code does an amazing job at helping riders improve.

Overall this is a very good book for riders wanting to understand why the motorcycle handles the way it does and explaining some of the things that usually go unnoticed in daily riding. I feel this book is targeted towards the average street rider wanting to know some of the underlying details behind motorcycle behaviour and taking more control over it. The book leaves out the complicated physics of the motorcycle handling process and presents the material in an easy to understand form.Even though, the main text of the book is very well presented, I did however, feel that the added comments were sometimes distracting and unnecessary.

The book was a good read but it is more for racers than street riders. Has a lot of great advice and pointers that I am now trying to incorporate into my riding which has helped.

These techniques are correct. They improved my street safety and on track performance. Ps there's also a DVD of this which I highly recommend. The lessons are crucial.

Butler links assembly with precarity by pointing out that a body suffering under conditions of precarity still persists and resists, and that mobilization brings out this dual dimension of corporeal life. Just as assemblies make visible and audible the bodies that require basic freedoms of movement and association, so do they expose coercive practices in prison, the dismantling of social democracy, and the continuing demand for establishing subjugated lives as mattering, as equally worthy of life. By enacting a form of radical solidarity in opposition to political and economic forces, a new sense of “the people” emerges, interdependent, grievable, precarious, and persistent.

Chet's life story includes an early taste of fame; he was a protégé of Charlie Parker, and won the New Star award for the trumpet in the prestigious DownBeat Critics Poll in 1953. He struggled to cope with the pressures of success, however, and after an ill-fated tour of Europe he descended into drug addiction. His fall from grace included spells of incarceration and a severe beating, which eventually resulted in his being fitted with dentures. Against all the odds, he embarked on a comeback in the 1970s, and whilst his playing was somewhat erratic in his later years, he still managed to produce some of his finest recordings. Funny Valentine is an intimate and unflinching portrait of Chet Baker, drawing on almost two hundred exclusive interviews with close friends and musicians. It includes a detailed, illustrated discography, helping readers to navigate the extensive catalogue he left behind.
